# Hearsay by Pouch

> Hearsay asks one question on your BigCommerce order confirmation page and reports which channels bring in revenue.

Hearsay is a BigCommerce app. It is installed from the BigCommerce marketplace onto a store, not run standalone.

It asks one question on the order confirmation page after checkout, records the answer against the order, and reports revenue by channel.

The answer is stored as an order metafield (hearsay.heard_about_us), readable by other tools and left behind on uninstall.

Refunded orders are excluded from reported revenue. Order updates are tracked so totals stay current.

No cookies, no cross-site tracking and no pixel. Customer names, emails and addresses are never stored with an answer.
