Stop guessing where your orders came from

One question on your order confirmation page. The answer is written onto the order, shown in your control panel, and totalled into a report by channel. No cookies, no tracking pixel.

Ranks channels by revenue

Each channel gets its answer count, share, revenue and average order value. Refunded orders are excluded, so a channel with a high return rate does not read better than it is.

Writes the answer onto the order

The answer is stored as an order metafield and shown beside the order in your BigCommerce control panel. Your other tools can read it, and it stays on the order if you uninstall.

A panel inside a BigCommerce order page headed "How they heard about you", showing the answer "Saw your tote bag on the train" and the date it was given.

Lets you write the question

Set the question and the options yourself, reorder them, and allow a free-text answer. Free text catches the ones you did not list.

The Hearsay survey editor, with the question text and a list of editable answer options.

Asks each customer once

Repeat buyers can be asked on their first order only, so regulars do not crowd out the report. Off by default.

What it does not do

No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no pixel. The question is asked and answered on your own storefront. The order id comes from BigCommerce’s page template rather than being read out of the page, and every answer is checked against the BigCommerce API before it is stored.
